Ubisoft starts to permanently ban The Division cheaters

Don't go too rogue.

We love The Division just as much as anyone else, but playing the game on PC can be a real pain thanks to cheaters. But fortunately, there seems to be a change coming.

On April 12th a new policy will be enforced that bans cheaters for three days without any warning, and if the person still didn't get the message after that, a permanent ban will be put in place which basically makes means your game cannot be played.

To make this even more effective, a new system for reporting cheaters will be added so players can out the people who can't behave. Massive will look into those cases and see if there has been cheating going on. Community developer Yannick Banchereau says:

"We are not going to pretend that we are 100 percent happy with the situation. It is something we're working on, and we should have some better solutions coming in the future. We are looking at improving it. We are catching a lot of people, so it's not as if there was nothing being done, but of course we can always improve on that."

All this is only about the PC version. The locked console systems don't have the same problems.

Thanks, Destructoid.
