Mount & Blade: Warband to release on consoles this summer

Releasing on PS4 and Xbox One six years after its debut on PC.

Six years after its debut on PC back in April 2010, Tale Worlds Entertainment and Koch Media announced today that Mount & Blade: Warband will debut on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One this summer (Q2 2016).

If you don't know the game, Mount & Blade: Warband is a sandbox-RPG title that mixes "strategic fighting, real time army command, and deep kingdom management", all packed in a wonderful medieval sandbox.

At the moment, neither the studio nor the publisher have announced the final release date on consoles (for this, or for Mount & Blade II: Bannerlord, which is also heading to console), but in the meantime we can take a look at some screenshots of the upcoming console release:
