Back in 2014 actress Lindsay Lohan started a lawsuit aimed at developer Rockstar, in which she claimed her likeness was used to portray the fictional character Lacey Jonas within Grand Theft Auto V.
She later added to the suit that she was supposedly the inspiration behind one of the game's posters (the one with a lady in a bikini taking a selfie - see below) even though model Shelby Welinder has confirmed that she was in fact the model that Rockstar used for the poster.
Nevertheless, Lohan proceeded with the suit, upon which Reockstar replied with an attempt to block the motion. Their claim was obviously that any similarities were purely coincidental and that Lohan was only seeking legal action as a publicity stunt.
Regardless, Lohan refused to back down, and now it's been confirmed that a US judge has given the case the go-ahead. It's still not clear when the parties will appear in court, but actor Ned Luke, who stars as one of the game's main characters, Michael, is not shy about expressing his opinions on this matter.
In a stab at Lohan on Twitter he suggests her likeness might be found other places in the game as well, while providing an image of an in-game cow.
