During his talk at the DICE summit earlier this month, Todd Howard was noted for saying that Bethesda Game Studios has "three long-term projects" on the go, and that they were different from what the developer has done before.
In an interview with GI.biz, he stated that it could in fact be more than three projects, and that he should never have put a number on things, as they have so many things on the go; more than ever before.
"You could add it up in different ways," Howard said in the interview. "You could say it's bigger or smaller. They're a long way off. We just have more going on now than we had before."
He doesn't plan to open up about the projects any time soon, but Howard is feeling good about the future of the studio, "We feel we have a pretty good footing and we're in a particular place and time where we can try some new things and be confident that they'll find some success."
At GDC this month, Howard will be awarded with a Lifetime Achievement award on March 16.
