In a blog post on Activision.com community manager Scott Lowe casually made mention of the fact that Activision won't have a booth at this year's E3. Instead it sounds like Sony will play hosts to the new Call of Duty at the show. Whether other Activision games will have a similar presence remains to be seen, but we'd assume new Destiny content will be present at Sony as well.
"In June, we're going to be at E3 showcasing gameplay from Infinity Ward's ambitious new game. We're looking forward to sharing exciting new details about the next great Call of Duty game in partnership with our friends at PlayStation. We're proud to be participating in this premier video game event, but won't have an Activision booth on the show floor."
EA have previously announced that they're running their own event outside of the LA Convention Center at the adjacent LA Live called EA Play in the days leading up to E3.
With two massive players out, we can only assume that the E3 showfloor will have less impact than in the past.
