PlayStation TV discontinued in Europe

Much like its portable sibling PSTV struggled to find an audience over here.

Update: Sony got in touch with the following statement regarding PlayStation TV in Europe, confirming what was reported elsewhere: "Shipment has already terminated at the end of 2015 in SCEA and SCEE. Shipment is still continuing in SCEAsia (as of the end of February, 2016), and we have nothing to announce regarding the timing of termination."

Original: Yesterday we reported that Playstation TV is about to get discontinued in Japan, but during the day, Sony clarified that this isn't the case and that it will continue to be sold in Asia for the time being. Instead it is Europe and North America that is affected by this and only a year after it was launched, the saga is now over for PlayStation TV. The last units were delivered late last year, so the ones that you find in stores now are the last that will be sold.

If you still want this PS Vita compatible micro console - head out and get one now, because before long they will only be available on eBay.

Thanks, Gamespot.
