The Inquisitor, an Baldur's Gate inspired RPG that tasks you with uncovering sinister plots and torturing criminals, is set to go into closed beta (head here for more info).
Cinemax has been working on the title for ten years, and their game is now nearing completion. The studio has released a barrage of screens to support the announcement, and some facts and figures (see below).
The Inquisitor requires players to take on a variety of criminals from across the empire, thwarting their dastardly plots and, in some cases, torturing them with a variety of implements (a rack, a strappado, a pillory and an iron maiden). Sounds grizzly.
There are to be three playable characters (a priest, a knight and a thief), 90 monsters and 180 NPCs. Over 30 surface areas and even more dungeons. 1.2 million square meters of exteriors and over 100 kilometers of twisting corridors.
