Robbie Bach, president of the Entertainment and Devices (E&D) Division, will be leaving his position at Microsoft this fall and "the father of Xbox" J Allard, senior vice president of Design and Development for E&D, will also leave his position. While Bach will leave Microsoft all together this fall, J Allard will have "an official role as an advisor in a strategic role for Ballmer and his leadership team".
Stepping for Bach and Allard, who between them had more than 40 years at Microsoft, will be a trio Don Mattrick (Interactive Entertainment Business) and Andy Lees (Mobile Communications Business) will now report directly to CEO Steve Ballmer. David Treadwell, corporate vice president of Live Platform Services, will take a new position and "lead core technology organization for the Interactive Entertainment Business", he will in turn report to Mattrick.
