Before Fallout 4 launched Todd Howard said that Bethesda had planned to release Fallout 4's Creation Kit for PC and consoles in early 2016. Now we finally have something more concrete.

In an interview with Game Informer's Andrew Reiner, Todd Howard said this when asked a question about when we can expect to see official mods for the game:

"Our goal is between the first two DLCs. It'll go up at that time on PC. In April. All of that stuff will go up on PC. People are beta testing it. There'll be a lag on consoles. We want to get it up on PC and have it work. It'll probably be a good month before it hits Xbox One, and another month for PlayStation 4."

Some of you might not consider May and June as "early" 2016 for consoles, but look on the bright side: when it finally comes to the Xbox One and PlayStation 4 we'll hopefully have more mods and it'll work.
