Rockstar's Red Dead Redemption stormed to the top of both the all formats and individual formats charts this week in the UK. In doing so it recorded the 11th best overall launch (9th on Xbox 360, 11th on PS3) in the history of the charts. Very impressive amidst reported shortages at retail. In other news last week's big releases Alan Wake, Lost Planet 2 and Skate 3 all fell in the chart, while Disney's Split/Second: Velocity had an encouraging start with Ubisoft's Prince of Persia: The Forgotten Sands sitting a bit forgotten in the store shelves. Perhaps it will have a bit of help from the blockbuster movie, we'll see if that is the case over the next few weeks.
