Ouya and Fuseproject's Yves Béhar revealed details surrounding the Android-powered console in a recent interview with Kotaku.

In the interview he revealed that: "The console has bluetooth and USB built in. We will aim to have support from launch," and that "the controller features a touch pad, not a touch screen."

In fact, Béhar had plenty to say about the possible layout of the controller: "The controller will have letters and colors at launch, we are still testing different solutions, including creative suggestions from the community. My team and I are reading a lot of the ideas and inputs from passionate gamers, and take them into account."

"I personally feel that it is so much better to share early directions with this community, and that it's quite different from the traditional approach which is to keep everything secret till the last minute. Great input means we continue to improve on the system and innovate."

He explained the dimensions of the Ouya: "Our console is quite small, around the size of a Rubik's cube, and so it will easily fit anywhere in a room, or be easy to throw in a backpack."

Considering the relatively small size of the console, they're having to be careful with its internal structure: "We intend to give the Tegra chipset room to breathe, as obviously it does get warm. So yes, airflow is important here."

The Ouya console is currently seeking funding on Kickstarter. The project was hoping to raise $950,000 USD. The total raised currently stands at over $5.4 million.
