First series of COD: The Challenge Division announced

Activision has announced the first series of The Challenge Division events, which for the first time allows non-professional players to join official competitions dedicated to Call of Duty.

At the end of the season, based on the performances throughout the year, eighty teams from all around the world will join the Call of Duty - Championship Qualifiers.

In addition to this, "the top performing teams in Challenge Division events in February and March can make it to the Stage 1 Relegation tournament, where they can take on Pro Division teams and earn their place in the CWL Pro Division and maybe their own guaranteed spot in the Call of Duty Championships."

You can sign-up for the first three European online events, each with $5,000 prize pools.

· 20th - 21st February presented by ESL
· 27th - 28th February presented by ESL
· 12th - 13th March presented by ESL

In addition to the online tournaments, Europe will host its first live event 'EGL Open' at the Truman Brewery in London on the 5th & 6th March, with $25,000 in prize money and World League points up for grabs for competing teams.
