After its launch last December in Japan, Nintendo has officially made Nintendo Account available in Europe. This service allows players to connect their Nintendo Account to their Faceboook profile, Google+, Twitter or Nintendo Network ID. In addition to this, Nintendo Account replaces Nintendo Club, the program that allowed you to get special prizes.

To register for the service, you can go to this link. At the moment, the countries where the service is available are: Austria, Australia, Belgium, Canada, Germany, Spain, France, UK, Ireland, Italy, Japan, Luxembourg, Netherlands, New Zealand, Russia and United States.

In conjunction with the launch of Nintendo Account, the Japanese company has also opened up pre-registration to the upcoming Miitomo service, Nintendo's first app for smart devices that's set to launch in March. The app allows players to communicate with their friends through a fully customisable Mii character. Miitomo will be supported by iOS and Android devices.
