Did you know actor Thomas Jane and comic creator Tim Bradstreet had a game in the works called Bad Planet? Well, it's actually a Kickstarter pitch and so far (10 days in), it's not really gaining the kind of support Jane and Bradstreet's Raw Studios and developer Red Fly Studio were hoping for. A mere 326 backers pledging $11,029 is a far cry from the goal of $575,000 in crowd funding.

Oh well, the game does sound interesting with an episodic structure planned for Steam and later PSN and XBLA.

"Bad Planet is about an ancient meteorite containing destructive alien organisms crashing down on modern Earth and unleashing hell. Another alien, a lone Phaedon warrior, breaks out of intergalactic prison and appears on Earth to help destroy the malevolent invaders - who are also responsible for the destruction of the Warrior's entire planet."

The game itself is described as a combat and gore heavy hack n' slash type deal.

Described as a brain-child of Thomas Jane, the concept features some real nice art direction from Tim Bradstreet. Anyway, if it peaks your interest - head over to the Kickstarter page and make your contribution. If not, well, maybe it will see the light of day somehow anyway.
