Before Christopher Schlerf worked on Mass Effect: Andromeda at BioWare Edmonton (a game that he says is "really gonna blow people away"), the writer also fronted the team that crafted the narrative for Halo 4 at 343 Industries. That's a pretty impressive CV by anyone's standards.

Now, after a couple of years in Edmonton, Schlerf is on the move once again, departing the RPG specialists in favour of a return to sci-fi first-person shooters that happen to be based in Seattle, this time working with Destiny creators Bungie.

Given that Destiny has had issues in terms of storytelling (although The Taken King was marked improvement on that front) it's no surprise that the studio are looking to reinforce in this area. Here's what Schlerf had to say about his move over on Twitter:

"To confirm what some folks asked about a few months back, I am no longer working on ME:A at BioWare Montreal. Sincerely one of the best experiences of my career-I'm incredibly grateful to have worked w/ such talented & truly wonderful human beings.

"Think MEA is really gonna blow people away; couldn't be prouder to be part of it, & excited like a lil kid to play the final when it's out.

"All that said, very happy to be back in Seattle, working with this scrappy little company called Bungie that some of you may have heard of. Think we might have some interesting stories to tell..."

Halo 4, Mass Effect: Andromeda, and Destiny are now all on Schlerf's CV.
