A rating for a new Dead Island game under the handle of 'Retro Revenge' has been found on the Australian Classification Board's database. According to the database, the game is to be multi-platform and is being developed by Empty Clip Studios, a small Canadian developer who has been involved in many ports as of late.

There have been a number of Dead Island titles in the last five years, and publisher Deep Silver seems determined to push it as much as possible. The original has received a number of sequels and spin-offs, Dead Island: Riptide and Escape Dead Island. There was also the MOBA entitled Dead Island: Epidemic which never got out of early access, which was shut down last October. And then there's the ill-fated development of Dead Island 2 that was taken from developer Yager last year and hasn't been heard of since.

Nevertheless, Dead Island: Retro Revenge seems to be definitely in development, is multi-platform, and we're fairly confident this is another spin-off, potentially something old school like a top-down shooter or a side scrolling action game.
