If you are excited for Yooka-Laylee, the spiritual successor to the classic Banjo-Kazooie, series, you might want to check in on developer Playtonic Games' blog on a regular basis. They are not reluctant to share bits and pieces regarding the development process, and this week they have revealed both music and a brand new character.
The music can be sampled via the said blog, along with a first look at Kartos, a living cart that will accompany you throughout certain sctions of the game.
"In true Playtonic fashion, we wanted to make this character as fun as possible," creator Kev Bayliss explains. "He's old school, so we wanted him to look old fashioned, rather than modern. He actually looks like a bad DIY project by myself, and I'm sure I've seen some of his body parts lying around in my shed at home! Yooka will be taking advantage of Kartos and his services, as he is for 'hire' at various stages in the game. And why not? After all, his slogan is 'Mein Kart ist Ihre Kart' after all!"
Yooka-Laylee is one our most anticipated indie games, but there's plenty more that we're looking forward to. For more on that check out The Most Exciting Indie Games of 2016 & Beyond.
