Doom will not get any microtransactions allowing players to buy whatever in-game items or speed up progression in the action shooter. This means that all unlocks and upgrades will have to be earned the old fashioned way, which with a game like Doom, is kinda fitting.

Doom itself is launching on PC, PS4 and Xbox One on May 13. We had a look at it very recently, and you can read our hands-on impressions of id's shooter by hitting this link.
