ARK: Survival Evolved has been a huge success on Steam with the Early Access program, and remarkably enough, it is now bigger on Xbox One. The game will be released for PlayStation 4 eventually, but you cannot enjoy it yet since Sony doesn't offer this sort of early access program, that let's people play while the game is being developed.
Studio Wildcard wish this would change and creative director Jesse Rapczak says in an interview with Gamespot:
"We're pretty excited about PS4. We wish Sony had an early access program, and a lot of people have been asking us for it. We just kind of got to say, "Well you know, it's not really up to us. It's the way Sony runs things, the game pretty much has to be finished." There are a few exceptions that we're not quite sure why they made an exception for one game or the other, but Ark is in the state where at present time unless it's finished, it's not coming out on PS4 until they have some other program that allows us to do that."
And this is something he thinks the gamers should ask Sony about:
"I do encourage anybody who's a PlayStation fan and has a PS4 to ask Sony for the program; maybe they'll decide to let a game like ours be in an early access-type program."
Fortunately, this doesn't seem to comprimise the PlayStation 4 version in any way, just make the wait a lot longer, and Rapczak ends by saying:
"It feels weird to say this, but fortunately the Sony players will benefit greatly from the Xbox early access. Even though they're different platforms, they're both consoles. Console gamers have lots of similarity; it doesn't matter what platform you're playing on."
