Hacking for the good of gamers.

If you've ever tried Counter-Strike: Global Offensive on a fairly high level you know there's cheating, and lots of it. One player called AndroidL took advantage of this when he decided to prank over 3000 cheaters to the extent that they all got banned from the game. AndroidL created his own Counter-Strike: Global Offensive-cheats that included aimbot, bunnyhop and wallhacks, something that more than 3000 players downloaded and decided to start using inside the game.

What AndroidL did that none of the gamers downloading his hacks knew, was to include code that would ensure that Valve Anti-Cheat (VAC) ban would recognise them all as cheaters. The result? 3000 Counter-Strike players were banned from the game. Here is what AndroidL wrote on Reddit about his hack:

"Over the course of two weeks I've released three different fake "multihacks". Essentially they edit your view angles to those that should be impossible to get and constantly gives infinite ammo/health. The hacks also do a few other things that ensure a VAC ban would be received. The first two releases had a "timer" in them which meant the features that instantly VAC banned them would only be activated after a certain time (e.g. 10 PM on the day after the release)... the final hack (with over 3.5k downloads) just instantly VAC bans them as soon as they open the hack and join a game. In total, my fake hacks received 26,000+ views and 5,500+ downloads!"

Below you see some priceless reactions of the gamers that was caught:
