Yesterday it was announced that none other than BAFTA-winner Jason Graves, composed the music for the upcoming Far Cry Primal. Jason Graves has, among other things composed soundtracks for games like as Tomb Raider, Until Dawn, The Order: 1886 and Dead Space. Graves specialty is drumming and percussion and his tunes will naturally fit perfectly to the Stone Age that Ubisoft hunted for with Far Cry Primal.
From the press release we got the following excerpt on the work that has gone into the creation of the soundtrack:
"The evocative soundtrack features a unique set of textures representing each of the tribes that players will encounter, including a ram's horn and solo flute (Wenja); Aztec death whistles, female vocals, ritualistic percussion (Izilia); raw sounds from Far Cry's Stone Age natural environment including bushes, bones, antlers, clay pots, wooden artifacts and male vocals (Udam)."
If you're interested you can catch a sample from the soundtrack called "The Heart of Oros" over on YouTube. For more on the game we suggest you read our week old hands-on impressions. Far Cry Primal is coming to PS4 and Xbox One on February 23, with the PC version releasing one week later.
