Pandemic Studios (Destroy All Humans, Mercenaries, The Saboteur) was working hard on a licensed title based on Chris Nolan's The Dark Knight movie and apparently the game was close to being finished when EA decided to cancel it. The development had gone over budget, but the game wasn't finished in time for the movie premiere and with time ticking on the license (which was later used by Rocksteady Studios for Batman: Arkham Asylum) it was cancelled. Pandemic Studios who made some stellar games during the PS2/Xbox era struggled with the newer consoles and owners EA finally decided to close down the entire studio in 2009, but the studio that worked on The Dark Knight - Pandemic Brisbane had been closed down even before that.

You can check out the cancelled game that was never officially shown over on the Did You Know Gaming channel.
