New paid-for DLC is set to make an appearance in Metal Gear Online in March, and it will bring with it Quiet as a playable character, as well three new maps. The maps are called Azure Mountain, Cradle of Spirits, and Rust Palace, and they'll land alongside the new playable character for a yet to be determined price.
Also coming in March are two new modes, one survival, and another that remains shrouded in mystery. You can also expect new music, tweaks and balancing, and a new ranking system that could well be skill-based. It looks like the new modes, tweaks and ranking system are all separate to the paid-for DLC.
The DLC announcement was made during a livestream on Twitch, where community manager Robert Peeler revealed that Quiet can run faster than anyone else in the game, jump up ladders, and cloak herself, making her the unique character for the Scout class. While he acknowledged that she will be a powerful addition, it was noted that she won't be able to communicate with her teammates, and will only hum.
