Today Konami has released the results of their latest financial period, more precisely concerning the last nine months, which ended on December 31, 2015. Among the most interesting facts that emerged in the report revealed the extent of Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain's great success, with it having sold 6 million copies (including retail and digital) since its launch on September 1 of last year.

The first three million units were sold in the month of launch, while the remaining three million copies were sold afterwards, especially during the Christmas period. Due to its great success, the video games division of Konami ended the last fiscal quarter in a very positive way.

Also the performance of Digital Entertainment was helped by strong performances of Pro Evolution Soccer 2016, Jikkyou Pawafuru Puroyakyu (19 million downloads) and Yu-Gi-Oh's trading cards, which were very popular in Japan.

Thanks, DualShockers.
