GOG.com has announced the launch of its own Early Access program, called Games in Development, where players will have the opportunity to buy and try games before the actual development of these projects is completed.
Nowadays a lot of developers (especially the smaller ones) go into early access before offering a final build of the game, so it's not surprising that the PC platform wanted to adopt its own take on early access. The initiative kicks off with five projects, namely Starbound, Ashes of the Singularity, Project Zomboid, TerraTech and Curious Expedition, and at the moment they're selling these games at discounted prices.
In addition to this, players will be able to get a refund "in 14 days, and no questions asked. It doesn't matter if you're having technical issues, if you don't think the game is sufficiently fleshed out, or if it simply doesn't click with you — all games in development can be returned for any reason within 14 days of purchase", as the Polish company explained.
