If you believe the PC platform is dead in favour of console gaming you are sorely mistaken. In fact you're dead wrong to the point where the opposite rings closer to the truth.
A quick look at these charts provided by analytics firm Superdata Research shows that the worldwide market is far greater on the PC and even the mobile platforms compared to consoles:
As you can see League of Legends for the PC was alone more profitable than the top five console games combined. Additionally the mobile game Clash of Clans achieved an almost four times better result than the top console game, and that's just the front runners runners of the competing categories.
For the gaming industry as a whole Superdata claims 2015 saw an increase of 8 percent over 2014. Digital console games had the largest increase with 34 percent, proving that console gaming is far from dead. It's just smaller than PC and mobile scenes.
