After many years with Criterion Games, a studio of which they themselves founded, Alex Ward and Fiona Sperry have moved on to a new company called Three Fields Entertainment. They work alongside several other ex-Criterion developers, most noteworthy Paul Ross, and back in 2014 they promised that two games would be released in 2015.

That never happened, but now they have at least announced the studio's first game called Dangerous Golf. The "dangerous" part in the title is important as this is far from a regular golfing simulator. Instead the game builds on chaotics roots from Criterion games like Burnout by being all about destruction.

In fact, the object of the game is to cause as much damage as possible with a somewhat magic golf ball, which catches on fire once the destruction reaches a certain level. As far as the gameplay goes there are many similarities to the "crash mode" found in many of the Burnout games, but this time the scenery is not busy intersections.

On the contrary, the 100+ courses in the game stretches from restaurants to gas stations and fancy villas, all ripe for destruction. For all intents and purposes, this will be a golf game where nobody ever shouts "fore!".

Dangerous Golf is in development for PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. The planned release is May this year.
