Ever wanted to go on holiday to Amsterdam? There are many reason why one might visit that particular city, and now gamers have a reason of their own. Last weekend a hotel dedicated to video game aficionados opened up, the first of its kind in Europe.
The Arcade Hotel isn't that far from the tourist spots in the De Pijp area. Each room has a retro console and games, at no extra cost. Handheld consoles are also available for multiplayer gaming in the lobby bar. There is also a comic book library, when you want to take a break from looking at a screen.
Owner Daniel Salmanovich says he's "remodelling this hotel into a special place for people who love gaming. I wanted to create a place where travellers and gamers feel like they are staying at a friends home."
