Last autumn music games made something approaching a comeback, with Rock Band 4 and Guitar Hero Live both seeing release on current gen platforms.
Now Harmonix will (before the end of January) release an update for Rock Band 4 which among other things will reset the game's leaderboards.
The move can be considered fair because some players have cheated their way to unbelievable numbers. However, it's less satisfying if you've put hours into trying to become the best in the world at, for example, Ozzy Osbourne's Miracle Man - and you succeeded in your mission without cheating.
Happier news relating to this update comes in the knowledge that Harmonix and Double Fine are working together on a free Psychonauts-themed content drop that'll be available in the game's built-in Rock Shop. It is specifically for Whispering Rock T-Shirts, and Raz's iconic helmet.
In December they released DLC that featured Fallout 4-themed gear, so it's not the first time that Harmonix has collaborated with other developers to bring new items to the game.
Thanks, Gamespot.
