Ni-Oh surprised a lot of people when it got re-announced last year at TGS 2015. It was originally announced for the PS3, way back in 2005. Now Koei Tecmo CEO Kou Shibusawa has told Chinese site 4Gamer that the title has gone through three different iterations/prototypes, before they finally settled on the one they have today.
For those worrying about the game being a PS3 port of sorts, it seems like you don't have to worry, as developer Team Ninja has scrapped everything and built Ni-Oh from the ground up for PS4. In doing so the studio are aiming to realise the game in 1080p resolution with a frame-rate of 60fps. Ni-Oh is coming to the West sometime in 2016, although no release date has been announced as of yet.
