Unsurprisingly, last year the Steam Winter Sale was more successful than the Summer Sale on Valve's online store. This was revealed in a detailed analysis made by Steam Spy, the website that monitors the sales on Valve's platform. According to Sergey Galyonkin, 46 million video games were sold during the Winter Sale, with revenue of $270 million, twice what was made during the Summer Sale.
According to stats reported by Galyonkin, the game most purchased by players during the Winter Sale was Fallout 4, followed by Grand Theft Auto V and The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt. For the best-selling games on Steam during the Winter Sale, you can see below.
