Since the Forge tool was released for Halo 5: Guardians last month, the community has been creating a seemingly infinite amount of maps to play on. Now 343 Industries has revealed their favourites among these maps on Halo Waypoint.
The first one is Mongoose Sumo, made by Turbtastic. According to the description, it's a small map and the concept is as simple one: push other players off of the board, and the last Spartan standing wins the round.
The second they recommend is Kronos, made by Zaelkyria. 343 Industries doesn't go into detail, but writes that it "is an original symmetrical 2v2 map. It's Forerunner in origin, and we like it a lot."
Third up is Remembrance by AnonFriction, and we suspect it will be very popular since it's a remake of the fan favourite Ivory Tower from Halo 2. 343 Industries seems to be very impressed with the work done, and writes that thanks to Halo 5 scripting, "AnonFriction was able to perfectly replicate the Ivory Tower elevator."
Finally they highlight Simulation, created by Berserk on XBL & Lil Black Bubba. This is also a recreation, this time of Halo 3's The Pit and Halo 4's Pitfall, with some elements taken from both. 343 Industries seems to like this one a lot and says that is: "Possibly our favorite community-made Breakout map so far."
There was also some news regarding the upcoming update called Infinity's Armory. It will be released towards the end of this month with a ton of new content. Below you'll find what to expect, straight from Halo Waypoint, and there's also a screenshot on one of the new battlegrounds:
"If you were to drop by for a tour, you'd find a great deal of work-in-progress goodness on screens across the studio, most of which would give you an in-development look at this month's update, titled Infinity's Armory. The update is scheduled to drop towards the end of the month, and it'll include new maps, weapons, armors, weapon skins, and more. We'll be detailing the full contents of the update over the next few weeks."
