It's been over a month since Just Cause 3 was released, and while remaining committed to remedy bugs and technical errors with new updates, developer Avalanche Studios is also working on fresh content for the game.
In fact, the first expansion, entitled "Sky Fortress", is closer to release than you might have thought:
" Whilst one side of the studio is working on patches, fixes and optimisations for the game, which will continue to roll out over the coming weeks, the other side is busily bringing this additional content to life. The first pack - 'Sky Fortress' which is the "Air" pack, is nearing completion, and will bring new missions, features and other exciting surprises to the skies of Medici. We're play testing this content right now so watch this space for more news on this very soon",</i> Avalanche writes on the Steam Community pages.
In addition to the "Air" pack, "Land" and "Sea" packs are also planned, and naturally they are all included in the game's season pass. On top of that Avalanche Studios will soon release items previously only found as pre-order bonuses for purchase.
