During the late afternoon reports from gamers across the world began to pour in that PSN was down. Sony have now acknowledged the issues on their official Twitter.
"We're aware that some users are having trouble accessing PSN. Thanks for your patience as we investigate. status.playstation.com"
We're currently getting a message that "PlayStation Network is undergoing maintenance" as we try and access PSN via our PS4.
Hopefully it is something minor and the service will be back up soon, but currently there is no proper indication of what might be wrong.
