While the Christmas number one was decided with last week's UK charts, this week's sales were actually even stronger as the week included the final days leading up to Christmas as well as boxing day sales (+15% revenue / +13% units over last week). And for the third consecutive week it was Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 that walked away with top honours. In fact sales of Black Ops 3 rose an impressive 40% over last week. During its 8 weeks on the market it has never been ranked out of the top two (50/50 split between positions one and two). Not a lot of movement as the top four remained unchanged from last week.

All Formats (all prices):

1. Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 / Activision
2. Star Wars Battlefront / EA Games
3. FIFA 16 / EA Sports
4. Fallout 4 / Bethesda
5. Grand Theft Auto V / Rockstar Games
6. Just Cause 3 / Square Enix
7. Assassin's Creed: Syndicate / Ubisoft
8. Minecraft: Story Mode / Telltale Games
9. Rainbow Six: Siege / Ubisoft
10. WWE 2K16 / 2K Sports

Interesting to note in the individual charts is that that the top ten is made out exclusively of PS4 and Xbox One titles. It is clear that the UK has made the transition from old-gen to new-gen at retail with the best Xbox 360 titles charting at number 18 (FIFA 16) and the best PS3 title at 24 (FIFA 16). It may also be of interest to note that no Wii U title ranked in the top 40 and that the best ranked Wii title was Just Dance 2016 (28) with top PC seller being Football Manager 2016 (30).
