We've known for some time, that in addition to the actual headset, the PlayStation VR will come with an external processing unit. This was announced during the Unite developer conference 2015, where Sony's Ram Madhavan mentioned this extra unit (you can see the presentation here).
Today a new report has revealed that this processing unit about the same size as a Nintendo Wii console. This news comes via a report on Polygon, and according to the report, developers on hand at the attended presentation confirmed that the headset on display was the retail design.
PlayStation VR is still on track to launch during the first half of 2016.
