The end of 2015 is upon us and would you believe it, DayZ has been available via Steam Early Access for two years. Developer Bohemia Interactive has their collective eye set on a 2016 release from Early Access and the coming of 1.0 for DayZ. The studio has also told us what we can look forward to seeing being added to the game next year:

• Steam Workshop support (Modding)
• Barricading
• Aerial Vehicles
• New Renderer
• New robust Animation System
• Enhanced Audio System support
• Predators
• Finalized Chernarus +
• Animal Companions
• New more modern UI & Inventory
• Public Server Binaries & Servlet/Database Release
• New User Actions & Fluid movement within the game world

According to the developer, this just the beginning. So expect more to be announced for the zombie-filled survival sim in the coming months.
