Host your own ARK: Survival Evolved server on Xbox One

The gamepad control scheme is apparently "much improved."

The developers of ARK: Survival Evolved had a little surprise on Xbox Wire for people aiming to join in on the dinosaur fun on Xbox One. It turns out it will be possible to host your very own server for the game, and you can do this very easily with Xbox One when compared to the PC version.

"You can also host your own 50+ player ARK server on a second Xbox One - which is something that would normally require an expensive PC server and a lot of management headaches." they explained.

According to the developers, this isn't the only benefit to playing on Xbox One over of PC: "The gamepad control scheme is also much improved over the PC version. ARK on Xbox One will be the smoothest gameplay experience for the majority of gamers... especially for the price!"

ARK: Survival Evolved will be released for the Xbox Game Preview program tomorrow, but it's not clear if this feature will be there from the start.
