Reactor Interactive - an indie studio based in Tampa, Florida, founded in 2001 by Ryan Buhr and Drew Clark - has opened a new campaign on Kickstarter to fund a project called Sector 13. The game - described as "3rd-person starfighter combat", which "combines the adrenaline-fueled action of games like Halo and Quake 3 Arena with the combat flight mechanics from games like Starfox and Crimson Skies" - is looking for $135,000, with 33 days left until the campaign ends.
If the game will be funded, Sector 13 will be available on PC, Mac and Linux, with stretch goals for Xbox One and PlayStation 4's versions. Here's some information on Sector 13:
*16-player competitive & cooperative multiplayer
*25+ unique, playable starfighters
*Dozens of customizable hardpoint weapon configurations
*12+ densely-populated arenas
*4 different game modes:
- Blow Up All the Things (Classic Deathmatch)
- Corporate Wars (Team Deathmatch)
- Capture the Flightpod
- Bury the Ace (Regicide)
If you want to help the team, head to Kickstarter page (running until January 12th) or on Steam Greenlight.
