After having waited ten years for a sequel to Psychonauts last week was a bit of a shock as both Psychonauts 2 and the PlayStation VR-powered Psychonauts: In the Rhombus of Ruin (a separate project that bridges the story gap between 1 & 2).
We thought we'd give you an update on Double Fine's Fig campaign for Psychonauts. As you may recall they are hoping to fund a third of the project via the combined crowdfunding and investment site. They fund a third themselves and an unknown financier provides the final third. They still need to get a whopping $3.3 million out of the Fig campaign and so far they've managed to amass more than half of that sum - almost $1.9 million from more than 12,000 backers. Remains to be seen if In the Rhombus of Ruin becomes a bridge to nowhere or if Double Fine manages to succeed with yet another campaign.
