Actor Kiefer Sutherland who portrayed Big Boss in Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain accepted the award for "Best Action-Adventure" at tonight's Game Awards in Los Angeles. He accepted it on behalf of the development team and Hideo Kojima. Host Geoff Keighley went on to inform the audience that Kojima had intended to be there for the award show, but that lawyers had informed him that as a result of the contract with Konami and its termination he would not be allowed to travel out. A sad state of affairs, indeed.
