According to Bethesda's Todd Howard, the producer for the game, as much as one hundred people spent four years recreating Boston and its surrounding area for Fallout 4. The early stages of this work naturally included collecting source material, in the form of images taken all over the city in real life.

Now a fan has released photos of modern day Boston landmarks alongside digital counterparts of the recently released game. Some of the locations might be a little worse for wear, as is natural in the wake of a nuclear disaster, but the similarities are definitely there.

The images are from Imgur, where even more comparison shots can be seen.
