Bear in mind that the machine is not even officially announced yet, but according to Digitimes.com Nintendo hope to ship out as many as 20 million units of their next console, codenamed NX, during 2016.
It is still not exactly clear what the NX is, but Nintendo's expectations seem really high regardless. The company hired to do the production, Foxconn, hold back a little though, reportedly claiming that they would only be capable of producing around 10-12 million units a year, making it impossible to meet the demands Nintendo are looking for.
If the report is accurate it would seem Nintendo is very confident in their next stab at the hardware market. It certainly hasn't lowered our interest in what's next from the Japanese company.
