German developer Blue Byte will expand its Anno 2205 universe during the year 2016 with free DLC. This has been confirmed by executive producer Burkhard Ratheiser. The first free DLC is called Wildwater Bay and will be published in January. Wildwater Bay is a new area on Earth that can be explored and built by the players. This zone will be the largest to date and offers players a vast continental territory and numerous islands near the coasts. In this zone, the player can claim more coastal and mountain slots for themselves. In addition, a new sector project will open in which you can solve the riddles of the abandoned underwater cities and meet ghosts of past players.
In addition to this first free update Blue Byte is currently working on the first of two major expansions for the game. The Tundra expansion will be published in late February. Before all of this a patch will be released in December to improve performance adding further optimisations.
