There was some indication a while back that Moogles wouldn't be included in Final Fantasy XV, apparently because the game is a "fantasy based on reality".
However now both the English and Japanese Twitter accounts for Final Fantasy XV have polls asking if fans would like to see the adorable Moogles return in FFXV. Both polls have around 90% of people in favour of their inclusion in FFXV.
Final Fantasy XV director Hajime Tabata stated at TGS that they had been dropped from the game. However Tabata would consider including them in some way if the fans wanted them. Around 14,000 people have voted in favour of Moogles being included in FF XV. There's only a couple of hours left until the poll closes, so given the overwhelming majority it's hard to imagine anything other than a "yes" vote.
Final Fantasy XV is scheduled to release in 2016 on PS4 and Xbox One. There is also an event in March next year where the release date for the long-awaited game will be announced.
