The premiere for the new 007 movie, Spectre, was a big success in the UK. Not so strange considering it's about the world's most famous spy, and of course, he's extremely British. This resulted in ticket sales of £6.3m during the film's first day in cinemas.

Despite this success Bond wasn't the most successful hero in the UK last week, there was another gentleman hero who managed to bring in more pounds sterling during his premiere last week. We are of course talking about Master Chief and Halo 5: Guardians, which generated an impressive £7.7m during its first twenty-four hours on sale and was last week's best-selling game at UK retail.

Thanks, MCV.
