Backwards compatibility is coming to Xbox One via the major update that's coming to the console on November 12, and when it's here Microsoft are promising some of our favourite games from the outgoing generation will be made available on the current-gen hardware.
We've already seen the tech in action and we know it works thanks to examples like the Xbox 360 content included in Rare Replay, and so now Microsoft are preparing to reveal a long list of games that we'll be able to play on Xbox One.
Xbox chief Phil Spencer confirmed that the first 100 games on the list will be announced on November 9, so keep your eyes peeled for news on whether your favourite old-gen titles are going to be making an imminent appearance on an Xbox One near you.
