A games collection has been sold on eBay for an incredible €999,999.99 (and that's not including the €1,000 postage and packaging fee).

The auction included several complete Nintendo and Sega collections, enough to make any fan weep. Full sets included: Famicom, Famicom Disk system, Virtual Boy, Super Famicom, Nintendo 64, GameCube, Sega Master System, Sega Game Gear, Sega Megadrive, Sega Saturn, Sega Dreamcast, PC Engine Arcade, PC-FX, and the Pioneer Laseractive.

The list of titles is outrageous, and all told there were over 5,000 games sold, including all the consoles/systems to play them on.

The listing explained how the collection came about: "I had dozens of thousands of copies of those games in hands during the last 20 years, and i only kept, each time, the VERY BEST copies for my personal collection."

"As an example, for the PC Engine factory sealed fullset, i got sometimes more than 50 copies for a precise title, and i kept the BEST one out of the 50 for myself."

"That gives you an idea of the mintiness of such collection. You get the best of the best."
