In an interview made by Angry Joe with a Rainbow Six: Siege's developer during a recent presentation of the game at Ubisoft's offices, some very interesting details were surfaced. Among these, a further additional in-game currency, called Rainbow Credits, which joins to the already known in-game currency, Renown.
In this regard, the developer tried to explain the differences between the two different currencies:
"So the Renown is really what we're kind of supposed to showcase today but I don't think we actually kind of went into it because it was all, it was on LAN, so we weren't really going into it too much—but it's essentially an in-game currency that is how you level up in the game and gives you access to operators, gives you access to weapon skins, etc, etc..."
At the moment, it is unclear whether these special credits, as well as the Renown, will be purchased with real money and/ or in-game points, as the developer said that the studio will provide more details on this and on DLCs soon.
Rainbow Six: Siege will land on PC, PS4 and Xbox One on December 1st. You can read our latest impressions on the game over here.
