To release an endless runner game with Lara Croft on smartphones seems to have been a stroke of genious. Square Enix has announced that it has reached an impressive 10 million downloads since it was launched back in April.
This will be celebrated by releasing new content for Lara Croft: Relic Run, a snowy mini adventure with a new boss to beat. It is described like this in the press release:
"Lara Croft can now explore a new Mountain Pass location as well as jump on a snowmobile to beat yetis and ice spiders. Her new powerful mini-gun will help to protect players against the "New Demon," a new boss that shoots ice into Lara's path, creating difficult obstacles that need to be avoided."
If you still haven't tried it, you can download it for either Android or iOS for free (there are optional in-app purchases as you'd expect). A Windows Phone version is also planned and will be released shortly.
Here is a bunch of new screenshots from the update.
